Chapter 1: How Afrocentric works for bookings

For Talents & Skilled Professionals

1. Receiving a Booking Request

• When an employer wants to book your service, they'll click on Hire me under your profile and you will receive a message/new order in your Afrocentric DM.
• You can negotiate, accept, or decline the booking from this chat.

2. Accepting the Booking

• If you accept, a confirmation message is sent to the employer.
• The employer is then prompted to proceed with payment.
• You can monitor all your order requests and booking status here

3. Payment Process

• All payments must be made on Afrocentric using Paystack/Flutterwave (Cards, Bank Transfer, Opay, etc.).
• Once the employer completes payment, you can proceed with the job - you'll see payment reflect in your pending balance.

4. Job Completion & Withdrawal

• The employer must mark the job as completed after the work is done.
• Once marked as completed, the funds will be in your Afrocentric available wallet.
• You can check your pending and available balance here: Afrocentric Wallet
• Withdraw your earnings once funds are available (you get credited within 24hrs only).

⚠️ Important Rule

Taking payments or bookings outside of Afrocentric is strictly prohibited. If found guilty, your profile will be permanently banned and terminated.

For Employers

1. Booking a Talent

• Browse talents and skilled professionals on Afrocentric here. You can filter your search based on location, gender or ranks!
• Send a booking request by clicking the Hire me on your preferred talent/skilled pro profile.

2. Negotiation & Confirmation

• Discuss job details with the talent/skilled pro.
• Once agreed, the talent will accept the booking.

3. Making Payment

• You will receive a confirmation to proceed with payment.
• Payments are processed securely via Paystack using multiple options (Cards, Bank Transfer, Opay, etc.).

4. Job Completion & Fund Release

• Once the job is completed, mark the job as completed in the Order status page.
• The talent will then be able to withdraw their earnings.
• If you have issues with the talent or skilled pro, you'll submit a dispute resolution to us and we'll settle it fairly. 

⚠️ Important Rule

All payments must be made on Afrocentric. Any attempt to bypass the platform for direct bookings will result in a permanent ban from the platform.
